Anniversary Celebrated By Mr and Mrs Kelso McClure
Christiana, Jan 7- Mr and Mrs Kelso McCLURE, who celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary were tendered a surprise serenade by their children, grand children and friends, at their home in Christiana on Monday.
Mr and Mrs McCLURE were married on January 3, 1888, at the home of the bride in Paradise Township, by the Reverend E.W.Gaylord, pastor of the Paradise Presbyterian church at the time. Mrs Eva LINRILL and son, Norman, of Christiana; Mrs Mary ESBENSHADE, of Atglen and Samuel ECKERT of Harrisburg, who witnessed the ceremony fifty years ago, were present.
The guests included: Mr and Mrs Elmer CROSSON, Mrs Lilian HODGSON of Cochranville; Mr and Mrs Ross SELDOMRIDGE and son, Roy; Mr and Mrs Enos HERR and Mrs Mary ESBENSHADE, of Atglen; Mrs and Mrs Robert MARTIN, of Parkesburg; Samuel ECKERT of Harrisburg; Mr and Mrs Arthur BAIR of Reading; Mr and Mrs Guy McCLURE, Mr and Mrs John McCLURE of Gap; Mrs Eva LINVILLE and son Norman, Mr and Mrs John MARTIN, Mr and Mrs Nevin McCLURE and family, of Christiana.
