Hunter, James, of Lancaster Co., a resident of Sadsbury twp., was borrn in Ireland, Feb. 1831, a son of James and Eliza (Devlin) Hunter. James was for many years was the sexton of the Presbyterian Church. He died in 1881, age 70, the mother died in 1881, age 75. Children; William of Carbon County, James, Henry who died in Australia, Mary who married Robert McMichael and lived in Carbon Co., John of Australia, Rebecca married John Fisher and lived in Australia and Samuel of Lancaster, PA

In May, 1861 James Hunter was married in Montgomery County to Mrs. Sally (Wentzel) Heffenfinger, children; Ruth who died age 5, Eliza, who married Whitson Pickel in York, PA., and has two children, and Sally M., who married Morrison Helton, of Gap, PA

Mrs. Hunter was born at Fox Hill, Montgomery County, on Jan 20, 1833, d/o Henry and Lizzie (Gresh) Wentzel of Montgomery Co. Mr. Wentze, died in 1876, aged 75, his wife died in 1887 ages 84. Members of the Lutheran Church. Children of Mr. and Mrs. Wentzel, Jeremiah, Samuel, died in 1898, Henry, Augustus died 1899, Ephraim, lived in the West, Lydia, married Jacob Schwenck, Sally, who married James Hunter, Mary, married William Bryan of Boyerstown, Malinda married Benjamin Clemnor, of Il, Elizabeth, unmarried and lived in IL, John, of Pottstown.

The first married of Mrs. Hunter was to Isaac Heffenfinger, Children; Emma, who married Isaac Tompkins, near Phila., Forest, of Phila., Milton, Malinda, of Phila., Sally, Chestin. Mr. Heffenfinger was the son George Heffenfinger f Montgomery Co.
