R Buell Love

R. Buell Love, was a pastor in the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, New Bedford, PA from 1881 - 1885. He was ordained August 23, 1881 by the Presbytery of Shenango. He was born in Hubbard, Ohio on 9-22-1851. He graduated in the fourth class of Wooster College, Wooster, Ohio, in 1878. He received his M.A. at Western Theological Seminary at Allegheny, PA in 1881. He also was pastor of churches in Bethesda Ch., Ohio and Gallipolis, Ohio. He was doing general evangelical work in Warren, Ohio while working on his D.D. from 1893-1898.

R. Buell Love was the great grandson of Hugh and Mary Gaston Love, of Fayette Co, PA. His father was Hugh Love, of Hubbard, Ohio, and his mother was Jane Campbell Love. Jane Campbell Love was from Mercer County, and the marriage took place in Mercer County, although records indicate she was born in Kentucky. R. Buell Love's sister, Rebecca Love, married William Bell of Mercer County. Robert Buell Love died in Antwerp, Ohio, September 17, 1919, and was buried in Wooster, Ohio.
