Rev. John M. Mealy, D. D.  This good brother was called to the pastorate of Neshannock Church on his completing his course at the Theological Seminary. He was young in years and youthful in appearance, yet, like Timothy of old, he was well equipped for the work of the ministry, and the Lord blessed his labors abundantly. One year over one hundred were added to the church on profession of faith. For over thirty years he ministered to this people. He had a happy manner of presenting God's truth so as to arrest and hold the attention of his audience. Being a college town in which he lived it gave him a fine opportunity of putting himself in touch with young men, and he was the means of enlisting a good many to study for the ministry. Some of them are beyond the seas doing noble work in heathen lands. Dr. Mealy is still in the pastorate and actively engaged in dispensing the water of life to thirsty souls at the Riverdale Church on the banks of the beautiful Ohio.

God grant that the closing years of his ministry may be his happiest and most fruitful.
