James
D. Moorhead
Rev. J. D. Moorhead, D. D.
It was in the spring of 1872 that Dr. Moorhead took charge of the Beaver Falls Presbyterian Church and his pastorate continued until the autumn of 1904, making over thirty-two years of faithful services in this church. Under his ministry the membership increased from one hundred and fifty to about five hundred. A number of revivals were enjoyed during his ministry. Many were brought into the kingdom through his instrumentality. "At eveningtime it shall be light." May this beloved brother and classmate enjoy the sunshine of the divine presence in the evening of his life, and a beautiful peaceful sunset.
