James
B. Stonesifer
Rev.
James B. Stonesifer was born in Littlestown, Pa., January 14, 1859. He
entered Muhlenberg College in 1883, graduating in 1886. He entered the
Theological Seminary, Lancaster, and graduated after a full course of
study. He accepted a call to Glencoe, Somerset Co., Pa. After a
pastorate of one year he was called to the Scheilsburg Charge. In 1891
he was commissioned by the Home Mission Board to take charge of the
Centenary Reformed Church, Winchester, Va. Then followed a nine years'
pastorate in the Carroll Charge, Maryland Classis and three years in the
Mount Crawford Charge, Virginia Classis. In 1913, he became pastor of
the Fort Loudon Charge, Mercersburg Classis, where he labored until his
death on November 15, 1916. He is survived by his widow, one daughter
and three sons.
