Frank Randolph Peters

 

Frank Randolph Peters was born in Moon Township, Allegheny Co., on 6 Mar 1858, the son of  Dr. John Thayer Peters.  

 

He became licensed in 1879 as a preacher of the gospel for the Methodist Church and by 1882 pastored at the Methodist Church in Volant, Lawrence Co., filling out the term for a Rev. Crum, who had died.  He was then assigned to the Greenwood Charge, overseeing the churches at Greenwood, Croton and Savannah.  Following was Petersburg, two years, Salem, two years and Volant, three years.  

 

In 1892, he became the pastor at the Methodist Church in Mahoningtown.  After serving there for five years, he was assigned to Brocton, NY.

 

Rev. Peters married Elizabeth Taylor "Lizzie" Anderson, daughter of John Anderson, on 19 Oct 1882.
