Edward Vickers Shotwell

Investigate Death of Former Midway Pastor
The body of the Rev. Edward Vickers Shotwell, 78, retired minister, was found on December 17 in a small stable on his farm near Elizabeth.  Because of injuries on the body, an autopsy was ordered and county detectives were investigating the possibility of foul play.  The Rev. Mr. Shotwell was a former pastor of the Midway Methodist church, having preached here several years about 1913.  He attended the homecoming of the Midway church about eight years ago and was present at the Tucker M. E. homecoming at Florence last summer.  He is survived by his wife and several children.
