Died Feb. 23, 1877, Upper Turkeyfoot, Somerset County, PA
He was only 52 years of age when he died.
Frederick entered the war relatively late and was assigned to an older regiment.
He developed breathing problems on Morris Island, S. C. in December, 1864. In the many
statements given for the Widow's Pension, his friends testified that he suffered asthma,
rheumatism, spasms, and diarrhea. He was treated by the regimental surgeon, and later, by
local physicians: Dr. Joseph Rogers, Dr. David Meyers, and Dr. Ed S Conley.

He was buried in the Delilah Younkin Cemetery, Upper Turkeyfoot.
Married Delilah Faidley July 2nd, 1848 by Samuel King, Justice of the Peace.
He was a farmer.
