N. N. Looney of Siletz Passed After Brief Illness

Noel N. Looney [see note below], resident of the Siletz for the past eight years, passed away suddenly last Thursday evening at the
Lincoln hospital, following an emergency operation.  Mr. Looney was 63 years of age, was in business at Corvallis for many years
before coming to Siletz, having operated a cigar factory there.  He is survived by his widow.

Funeral services were held at Mayflower chapel Corvallis at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon with interment in Oaklawn Memorial park.

Mr. Looney was a member of Siletz grange and beloved by the members and other residents of that section.

Note: His name should have been N(oel) L(ong) Looney.  His widow was Jessie Aurora (Hunter) Looney.  Noel L. Looney was later
buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri.

There doesn’t appear to have been an obituary for Noel’s wife Jessie.

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN.

I, Jessie A. Looney, being of sound mind and memory but mindful of the uncertainty of human life, do make, publish and declare

this to be my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. FIRST: I give, devise and bequeath unto my niece Marie Richardson of Sedalia, Missouri and my nephews James of Sedalia, Missouri
and Theodore Hunter of Glasgow, Missouri, in equal shares, all of the property of which I shall die seized or possessed,
subject to the payment of my debts, funeral expenses and the costs and expenses of the administration of my estate. SECOND: I direct that upon my death, my body shall be interred in Greenwood Cemetery, in Bolivar, Missouri and placed in the
family plot. THIRD: I nominate and appoint my good friend Bernice Held Arnold of Corvallis, Oregon executrix of this my last Will and Testament
and direct that she be especially directed to carry out the provisions of this Will including burial. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 20th day of January 1954. Signed Jessie A. Looney The foregoing instrument, consisting of one page, including this one, was at the date hereof, by the said Jessie A. Looney signed,
sealed and published as and declared to us to be her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us what at her request, and
in her presence, and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as witnesses thereof. Signed by Aileen McCluskey Address: Toledo, Oregon Jaine (?) His petition was granted and he was discharged. Bernice Arnold, was appointed executrix on the 26 July 1966. O.N. Callender, M.D. paid $137.00 for her last illness. Her estate was valued at $2,731.08 Expenses paid from her estate $1,460.06 Total after all expenses paid $1,271.02 disbursed in equal thirds to: James Hunter, her nephew who was living at 1301 Rolyn [Roslyn], Denver, Colorado 80220 Theodore Hunter, nephew living in Glasgow, Missouri 65254 Marie (Hunter) Richardson, niece living at Route 3, Sedalia, Missouri 65301 Jessie requested in her will that she be “interred in Greenwood cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri and placed in the family plot”. One of the

appear to be a record nor a headstone at the Eureka Cemetery. The headstone in Greenwood cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri has her name
and birth date but not her death date.
