C.A.R.ing for Kids

Children's Cancer Association
is a non profit organization based in Oregon that offers support, award-winning programs,resources and joy to seriously ill children an their families. Branded JoyRx,
these resources, friendship and fun, create moments of respite and hope in the midst of life-threatening illness.

During the year we were able to raise more than $2100 to support the CCA programs.

CCA's Main Programs

The Music Rx Program
brings the healing power of music directly to hospitalized children and teens, with music therapists and a mobile music cart loaded with instruments. The program supports hospitals in relieving fear, anxiety, and pain by offering tailored musical experiences at bedsides and in hallways, from oncology and the burn unit to intensive care and rehabilitation.

The LifeSupport Family Enrichment Program
brings hope, joy and understanding to families facing a child or teen's serious or life-limiting illness. The program helps families with specific essential needs, provides direct links to local and national resources, offers bereavement support, and grants special wishes that are unmet by other organizations.

The Chemo Pal Mentor Program
matches trusted adults with children and teens undergoing chemotherapy.
