Home Membership Meetings Officers Contests Links Cooper Mt. Cemetery

An active chapter with membership hovering at about 70 members, Beaver Chapter holds the only evening meetings in the Portland metro area which allows for a wide variety of members.

The name Beaver Chapter was chosen in honor of the energetic, valuable beaver. Due to the desire of obtaining beaver pelts, pioneers came to Oregon and within four years more than 400,000 beavers were killed for their pelts. Despite almost being eliminated from large portions of its original range, it made nearly a complete recovery by the 1940s.
