HISTORY OF THE CORNWALL CHEESE AND BUTTER BOARD
 
GOWER FLEMING

gOWER FLEMING was born February 16, 1880, on the Post Road in Cornwall Township. He is the son of William Fleming and Matilda J. Gordon. He is unmarried. Mr. Fleming is an Anglican in religion, a Conservative in politics and a staunch Canadian. He has farmed all his life.

       Mr. Fleming, whose 100-acre farm is located East 1/2 Lot 27, Sixth Concession, Cornwall Township, specializes in the manufacture of butter, of which he produces over two tons annually.
       A herd of 22 pure-bred Ayrshire cattle, 6 horses, 47 swine and a large number of fowl are a part of the farm stock.
       His farm produces annually 1,400 bushels of grain, 100 tons of hay, 8 acres of corn and 1 1/2 acres of potatoes. He has a large fruit orchard located on his property. Mr. Fleming is a capable and energetic farmer.
