I am researching my father's Candian ancestors. My grandfather, Albert John Neuman (or Neumann) was born in Arnprior, July 26, 1889. I believe that his father's name was John and his mother's name was Augusta (Diethuner, Dietliener, Dietburner????). My grandfather had several (?) brothers and at least 1 sister, Mary. One of his brothers, Conrad Neuman died in 1918. I have found several names listed in the Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid which may /maynot be relatives. I know that the family was German and Lutheran. I have no idea when they first came to Canada. If I had more info on either my grandfather, Albert John, or his father, I think I could proceed. Hudson/Goodwin Lawsuit-1930's
Mike Blais [email protected]
11 Jul 1999

Looking for information on the Hudson/Goodwin lawsuit which occurred in the 1930's or 40's, where 6 descendants of the late James Hudson fought in court for a claim of his 260 million dollar estate. Looking for info, actually on all the claimants, but in particular the full name of Mrs J St Denis, of Mattawa. Hudson was from the Westmeath/Renfrew area, and this is a great piece of family history, assuming it is my line. I suspect it is, given the names involved-Hudson-Goodwin-Lanthier- and St Denis all fall in my lineage to James Hudson and Caroline Goodwin. But as The Hudsons and Goodwins are so plentifull, I would like to explore this to verify, that it is the right one. I am not sure where to look, exactlly for that information, I hope you can help shed the light on this great historic family piece.
