David Henry and his wife Elizabeth Keiza are believed to have emigrated to Canada from Germany about 1778, eventually settling in North Marysburgh. Several years later, David went back to visit Germany, but his ship was lost. David left an only son, Conrad, who was born in 1778. He married, Mary Cole, in 1811, and raised nine children. The first church services anywhere in the district were held at Conrad's home or the home of his neighbour, Colonel Allen. The services were conducted by the Rev. Job Deacon, a minister from the Church of England in Adolphustown. Conrad David donated land for the first church building. He was considered to be one of the finest farmers in the area, owning the first team of horses and also the very first wagon in North Marysburgh. Conrad's son, Henry B. David, lived his lifetime in Picton. Another son, Peter, was born in North Marysburgh in 1815. He married Sarah Clapp, and owned over two hundred and fifty acres on the shore of the Bay of North Marysburgh. He died in 1884 at the age of seventy, and his wife died in 1891.
