who in turn received them from her mother, Catherine SAUNDERS
nee FERGUSON
married to Robert SAUNDERS.
There are a lot of EDWARDS,
LEWIS and BENNETT
relatives associated with the SAUNDERS
family, many of whom emigrated up to Renfrew in the 1850s
due to the scarcity of land in Beckwith & Montague Townships,
Lanark County. If you have any information

On the right William Samuel Edwards (he is a son of John Joseph
Edwards
and Ann Saunders) and wife Martha Saunders. married 2 apr 1867.
Mother of William Henry Pendergast and mother of
William Samuel Edwards
were sisters. Their wifes were sisters and the daughters of William
Saunders and Julia James.
Note William Saunders was a 1st cousin of Anne and Mary Saunders)

Julia James. He is the son of Thomas Ferguson, (of the Numogate
Ferguson's - related to the Ferguson family from Dalhousie Twp

father John son of Thomas Ferguson and Mary Barr) and Margaret
Anne
Pendergast (she is a sister of William Henry above).
