Uncle Jim may be James Beath Cheater.  Rose may be his wife and the unknown children may be their children Billy and Mabel.

The picture on the left is Jacob Jones (1852/1933) and Magdalena (Cheater) Jones (1858/1938), who lived in Lanark in the late 19th and early 20th century.  They are both buried in the Lanark Village Cemetery.  Jacob apparently lost an arm while working in the mill.  Magdalena was known by everyone as Deligh or Delilah.

The picture on the right is Ora Dayton Johnson and Hazel Belle (Jones) Johnson.  Hazel was the daughter of Jacob and Magdalena, and lived her early life in Lanark.
