In Montague, on the 13th inst., by the Rev. Mr. Padfield, Miss Jane Rowe to Mr. John Campbell, both of the same place.

Carleton Place Herald January 3, 1899

Mr. Frank Rodger, son of Mr. Wm. Rodger, of Rosetta, and brother of Mrs. Robt. McDiarmid, of this town, died on Tuesday last, of pleurisy, aged 23 years.  The deceased was visiting here a few weeks ago, and then seemed in excellent spirits.

Carleton Place Herald June 27,1899

Mr. James S. Rodger, brother of Mrs. J. R. McDiarmid, who some years ago conducted a flourishing butcher business here, and later at Perth, died last Tuesday night at the home of his father, Mr. Wm. Rodger, at Hopetown, after a long illness.  Deceased was 40 years of age, and was twice married.  By the first wife there are three children; by the second, who survives, there are none.  The funeral took place on Thursday.  The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends in their sorrow.
