Still There - Mr. James Munro has just completed the erection of a new garage, on Rock Lane . The building is made of ties cut to length the thickness of the walls and laid in mortar. This type of building is comparatively new around Arnprior but we are informed farmers around Perth were using this method of building cow stables forty years ago. It makes a snug building and, will not sweat in summer nor absorb frost in winter and is always dry. When Mr. Munro and his workmen came on the job Saturday morning they noticed a blackbird perched on the peak pole with wings spread ready to take off. They went about their work but the bird still sat there, paying no attention to, the noise and fuss going on below. Investigation proved it to be a stuffed bird which some practical joker had placed there, and as there was no danger of it digging holes in the woodwork in search of grub Munro let it stay on its lofty perch.
