Pleasures there for evermore
Wait thee on the eternal shore
In that happy home, that happy place
A Father waits with smiling face.
The labors and toils of earth are many
And he has gone to rest
Far, far beyond the reach of us
To be forever blest.
Jesus has called him to Himself
To dwell with Him above
For evermore to sing the song
Of redeeming love.
Though weeping friends are left to mourn
For the departed one
Shall we not lower our heads and say
Father, Thy will be done.
