The Smith’s Falls News of April 27 says:  “In the home of David Keith, a very happy event has occurred in the marriage of Miss B. Hunter to T.W. Robertson of Victoria, B.C.  The old saying ‘there is a providence that shapes our ways, rough hew them as we may’ which is never better demonstrated than in this marriage.  The bridegroom and bride were brought up together in Dundee, Scotland where they became fond of each other and even promised to be true.  But circumstances separated them for many years and it seemed as though they should never meet again.  However, the young man when en route from Hong Kong to Scotland via Canada, learned that Miss Hunter was here and so he came to see her.  The spark that had lain dormant for so many years at once burned forth into an affectionate flame, old promises were renewed and as a result they are not happily reunited.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. T. Nixon in the presence of a few of Miss Hunter’s friends.  The bride was attired in a handsome green traveling suit, carrying a large bouquet of beautiful yellow roses.  After the ceremony they sat down to a nice lunch and then took the 3:30 train for St. John from which they sail to bonnie Dundee.  After a stay in Scotland they expect to return to Canada on a visit to Mr. Robertson’s parents in Victoria and then sail from Vancouver to their home in Hong Kong.”
