Weatherhead is the bride and the ceremony which made the twain one took place at the residence of the bride’s mother on King Street east at an early hour this afternoon.  Rev. W. A. Wemyss—On Wednesday of last week an event occurred which will be long remembered by those who were at the bridal festival of Annie Doyle, youngest daughter of John Doyle.  Miss Doyle and Patrick Leonard approached the hymeneal altar on Wednesday morning.  Though the hour was early the church was crowded with spectators eager to get a glance at the young couple.  Jno. O’Laughlin went through the trying ordeal as groomsman and Tessie McGarry very gracefully performed the duties of bridesmaid.  The bride looked charming in her handsome grey cashmere costume and the bridesmaid was equally handsome in brown. The complimentary remarks made by the crowd at the church door were very many as the beautiful and blushing bride, assisted by her handsome groom, entered the carriage.  The bridal quartet then drove to the bride’s father’s residence where a sumptuous repast was prepared by the host.  The guests were the immediate relations of the bride and groom and numbered about fifty.  They were very pleasantly entertained by a variety of music and they had such a pleasant time that the hour was late before they thought of dispersing to their respective homes.  James Byrnes, uncle of the bride, amused the guests by his agile step dancing.  It was remarkable to see a man who has seen so many winters step so lightly.  The happy couple will spend part of their honeymoon with the bride’s parents.  But the time of her departure will come too soon for her parents and Wemyss friends.  Miss Annie was one of Wemyss’ most popular young ladies.  She greeted all with a pleasant smile and her company was sought by everyone.  But one who has made so many friends here will not fail to win them elsewhere.  The esteem in which she was held by her friends and acquaintances was shown by the number and value of the presents she received.  Some of these were:  a handsome gold watch from the groom; piano from her father; an elegant canopy topped carriage from her mother, and a very beautiful bedroom suite from her grandparents(?).  Each one of her brothers presented her with valuable and appropriate presents while those received from her friends too were beautiful.
