Elsewhere in the newspaper:  We take from the Winnipeg Sun of the 8th Oct., the following account of the ceremony consummated in that city the same morning.  Mr. Stewart was formerly a teacher in the Balderson and Carleton Place schools and Miss McIntyre is the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Hugh McIntyre, Esq., of Balderson.  “An interesting event was consummated this morning at 72 Jemima St.  There, at an early hour Mr. D. A. Stewart, Justice of the Peace, Pilot Mound, and Inspector of Schools for S. Manitoba was united in matrimony with Miss Marjory McIntyre of this city, Rev. A.A. Cameron officiating.  The bride, who looked very interesting, was neatly attired in a gray traveling dress.  Both the bride and groom are natives of the County of Lanark, Ontario, where they have a host of friends.  The bride’s sister, Miss Lizzie J. McIntyre, acted as bridesmaid and the groom was supported by Mr. R. McLean of this city.  A select number of friends witnessed the ceremony and afterwards sat down to the wedding breakfast which was gotten up in elegant style.  The wedding pair left on the 8:00 train for Pilot Mound where they will reside.  A score or more of friends accompanied the wedding party to the station.”

Knight of this city and Mr. D. M. Collier, auditor of the St. Paul, Minneapolis and Omaha Railway of St. Paul.  The ceremony took place at St. Vincent de Paul’s Church.  At the conclusion of the ceremony the bridal party and their invited guests betook themselves to the residence of Mr. M. Quinan (?), 29 N. Oakley Ave.,  for a reception.  The presents included a beautiful gold watch and chain, a gift of the groom; a china set of 150 pieces; 2 easy chairs; cared receiver; two gold cake baskets; berry dish; three pickle carriers; four sets of silver knives and forks; a piece of majolica vases; full set of table linen; hanging lamp.  The happy couple left that evening for their future home in St. Paul, followed by the best wishes of their many friends.”
