Elizabeth Sadler
Muriel
Elizabeth Sadler died March 24 at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital.
She was 86. She was the daughter of the late James Rath and the late Catherine
McMunn. She was born Feb. 2, 1909 in Ramsay Township. On July 10, 1943, she
married the late Edmund Johnston Sadler in St. George's Anglican Church in
Clayton. She made her home on the Sadler farm near Carleton Place, farming with
her husband, brother-in-law Harry and sister-in-law Mamie Sadler until retiring
and moving to Carleton Place. She is survived by many nieces and nephews - Keith
McKnight, James, Elmer, Clare, Raymond and Charles Rath, Ann Timmons, Elaine
Fulton, Mary Forlippa, Ronald McMunn, Beula Cooke and Margaret Palmer. Mrs.
Sadler was predeceased by her brother Herbert Rath and her sisters Mildred
McKnight, Ethel Gosbee and Alice McMunn. She was also predeceased by her nephew
Wilfred Rath and niece Margaret Leigh. The funeral service was conducted in St.
James Anglican Church on March 27 at 11 a.m. with Ven. Gordon Worden officiating.
The pallbearers were Brian Cooke, Greg Fulton, Jimmie Rath, Doug Timmons, Jeff
McMunn and Ken Rath. Honourary pallbearers were James Rath, Raymond Rath, Clare
Rath and Ronald McMunn.
