Obituary David Orr In Goderich Township, September 1900THE SIGNAL, September 27, 1900P. 1, Cols, 3&4.DEATH OF DAVID ORR. Deep regret was felt by many in town and country at the announcement of the death of David Orr, of Goderich Township., which occurred on Sunday afternoon. Although he had been ailing since last fall and since the spring it was known by his friends that he was seriously ill, he was confined to his house for only a few days before the end came. The complaint from which he suffered was cancer of the stomach. The deceased was the SECOND SON OF ROBERT ORR, of town and was in his 44th., year. He had lived all his life in Goderich township and was a progressive and sucessful farmer. His wife died not quite a year ago and much sympathy is felt for the three boys - JAMES, DAVID and JOHN, who have been so greatly bereft. The remains of the deceased were interred in Maitland Cemetery, on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. James Hamilton, pastor of the Union Presbyterian Church, conducting the services. The pallbearers were James McLuskey, John Young, Charles Johnston, Robert Davidson, Martin Knight and George Johnston.
