MRS. JENNIE TROUT, M.D.
MEAFORD EXPRESS (1921) - Mrs. (Peter) Jennie Trout, M.D., news of whose death at Los. Angeles, Cal., has reached here, she having been a sister-in-law to Mrs. M.A. Trout, town. Mrs. Trout, who was 80 years of age, graduated from a Philadelphia Medical College as a young woman, and was the first woman to pass the examination of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. She conducted a medical institute in Toronto about 40 years ago.
   Mrs. Trout, whose husband was for many years manager of the Monetary Times of Toronto, went with him to Los Angeles 15 years ago and they had since resided there. She is survived by him and by two adopted children, a grandniece and grandnephew, of whom Dr. Huntsman, of the University of Toronto is a brother.
