DIES AFTER A LONG ILLNESS
WALLACE STEPHEN SUCCUMBS ON
SUNDAY MORNING AFTER
LONG AND TRYING ILLNESS
MEAFORD EXPRESS (1921) - After many months of severe illness death came to W. Wallace Stephen on Sunday morning at the age of 45 years. Deceased was the eldest son of the late Adam and Mrs. Stephen and was born and raised in Meaford. For many years he was associated with his father in the drug business and since the death of his father four years ago he conducted the business on his own account. Some three years ago deceased suffered an attack of pleurisy and has been in failing health ever since. He was very active in sports and played baseball with Meaford for a number of years. He was an excellent curler and bowler and took part in many interesting bonspiels and tournaments from time to time.
