MEAFORD EXPRESS (1957) - Emily Alberta Sewell, wife of the late James Wesley Bridgett, passed away in Meaford General Hospital on Saturday evening, Nov. 16, following a brief illness. Born in Meaford, Mrs. Bridgett was in her 89th year. She was the last surviving member of the family of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Sewell.
Mourning a beloved mother are two daughters, Dorothy, Mrs. Willis L. Whitaker, Three Oaks, Mich; Kathleen, Mrs. Robert C. Cramp, Kalamazoo, Mich., and one son, Edward of Toronto. She was predeceased by her husband and one son, Harry Sewell, who lost his life in the First World War.
Rev. A.K. Morphy conducted the funeral service in the Gardiner Funeral Home Monday afternoon. Interment was made in Lakeview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were A.W. Bright, Gordon Cramp, Dave Patterson, Walter Cramp and James Robert Cramp.
