FLESHERTON, Jan 10 --- The death occurred at 9:30 o’clock on Sunday night at the late residence about a mile north of Flesherton, of Mrs. Robert Richardson, following an illness of only a few days, death being due to pleuro-pneumonia. She was only confined to her bed for two days. She was in her 54th year and was a daughter of the late George Pritchard, of Vandeleur, where she was born and resided until she was married 30 years ago to Mr. Robert Richardson, and had resided on the farm near Flesherton ever since. She was most highly esteemed in the community and was prominent in the work of St. John’s United Church in Flesherton. She is survived by her husband, who is also very ill with pneumonia at the present time, and one son, Harold, at home. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Reid, Oxford, Mich., and one brother, Rev. Robt. Pritchard, Winnipeg Man.
   The funeral will take place at 2:30 o’clock on Wednesday afternoon from the residence of Mr. Emerson Wickens in Flesherton, to the Flesherton cemetery.

FLESHERTON, Jan. 13 --- Pneumonia claimed its second victim within five days in a highly esteemed Flesherton family, when Mr. Robert Richardson succumbed to the dread disease here early Thursday morning. Mr. Richardson’s wife died from the same cause on Sunday and was laid to rest on Wednesday, the funeral being held from the home of a neighbor and Mr. Richardson knowing nothing of his wife’s death.
   The late Mr. Richardson, who was in his 61st year, was taken ill while attending a church meeting a week ago.
   Deceased was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Richardson and was born at Rock Mills. While he was still a boy the family moved to this village, where deceased attended the public school, and he had resided in this village of vicinity ever since.
   Thirty years ago he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Pritchard of Vandeleur and they took up residence a mile north of Flesherton on the highway, in Artemesia Township.
   One son, Harold, who lives at home remains to mourn the passing of his father. The sincere sympathy of a host of friends will be extended to him in his tragic loss. The late Mr. Richardson was one of a family of twelve. Three brothers and three sisters predeceased him. Surviving are a brother, William, of Winnipeg and four sisters, Mrs. Thomas Mann, of Owen Sound; Lucy, Mrs. Guest, and Miss Annie Richardson, both of Brownville Junction, Maine, and Minnie, Mrs. Douville, of Rochester.
   The late Mr. Richardson had been a very energetic church worker and at the time of his death was an elder of St. John’s United Church here. He had held all the offices in the church and will be greatly missed. For many years he was a member of the public school board here, had also served on the cemetery board, was a former president of the agricultural Society and was a member of Flesherton Loyal Orange Lodge.
   The funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon, witha service at his late residence at 2:30 p.m. and with interment in Flesherton Cemetery.

FLESHERTON, Jan. 18 - The funeral services of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richardson of Flesherton whose deaths occurred from pneumonia, over Sunday, January 9th and Thursday, January 13th, were held on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
   Their pastor Rev. Geo. R. Service of St. John’s United Church had charge of both services, bringing a message of comfort to the many friends and relatives and to the son, Harold, who has been so sorely bereaved. Interment was made in Flesherton Cemetery.
   The funeral of Mrs. Richardson, took place from the home of a neighbor, Mr. Emerson Wickens. The text was taken from Hebrews 11-13-16 -- "These all died in the faith, for the Lord hath prepared for them a city." The 23rd psalm was read and the hymns, "Safe in the arms of Jesus" and "Jesus Savior pilot me," were played softly on the piano by Mrs. Geo. Buchanan.
   The lovely tributes were many and showed the esteem in which the deceased was held.
   The pall bearers were Messrs. Jacob Lever, Thos. Sled, E. Wickens, Fred Boland, H. Graham and W. Hutchison. The flower bearers were Messrs. W. Lever, A.E. Sparks, J. Brackenbury, H. Lever, B. Sled, H. Wilson, and M. McFadden.
   Friends from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Campbell, Mrs. W. Jackson, Mrs. Kennedy, Mrs. McCullough and Mr. Bougard, all of Toronto; Mr. Reg. Mann, Mrs. J. Beecroft of Owen Sound and Mrs. Ted Henson of Barrie.
   The funeral of Mr. Richardson was held from his late home on Saturday afternoon. The text chosen being Job. 1-21 --- "The Lord gave and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." The hymn, "Forever with the Lord," was softly played by Mrs. Geo. Buchanan and a solo, "Peace Perfect Peace," by Rev. Mr. Service.
   The lovely flowers bringing their silent messages of esteem were from the son, neighbors, official board of St. John’s United Church, Agriculture Society and Wm. Wilson and family.
   The flower bearers were Messrs. M. McFadden, Gordon Long, W. Lever, J. Brackenbury, and H. Lever. The pall bearers were Messrs. Jacob Lever, Thos. Sled, E. Wickens, John Stewart, Geo. Cairns and T. J. Fisher.
