Two soldier sons joined with the other members of the bereaved family in mourning a beloved mother in the death of Mrs. John Noble 2163 6th avenue west, who passed away in the General and Marine Hospital early Saturday evening. The late Mrs. Noble, who was in her 49th year had suffered from a heart condition for nearly ten years. More recently complications developed and despite the loving care of her only daughter and also of her own mother she succumbed to her long illness. She had been a patient in the hospital for the past four weeks.
   The deceased was formerly Ina Belva Mann and she was born at Eugenia Falls. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mann, are residents of Owen Sound, 1855 3rd avenue west. Twenty-seven years ago she was united in marriage to John Noble at Dyer’s Bay and they took up residence in Durham. After several years in that town they came to Owen Sound to live. Their first home was on 14th street west, where they kept a grocery store for a number of years.
   Besides her husband and sorrowing parents, one daughter, Belva, Mrs. Chris Grimoldby, and five sons, Reginald, at home, Bruce and Lloyd, both of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters, Camp Borden, Herbert and Billy, at home, survive. There are also two grandchildren, Donna Marie and Kenneth John Grimoldby. Two sisters and one brother mourn. Hazel, Mrs. Eddie Lynch, and Pearl, Mrs. John Barclay, both of Dyer’s Bay, and Reginald Mann of this city. Another brother, Horace Mann of Owen Sound, predeceased her ten years.

A private service at the late residence, 2163 Sixth Avenue West, preceded the public rites for the late Mrs. John Noble, which were held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at first United Church. The minister, Rev. S. E. Annis, assisted by the deceased’s former minister, Rev. William Howey, now of Meaford, took part in the service at the home and also in the church. Sorrowing relatives, friends and residents of Owen Sound North filled the edifice to capacity.
   Mr. Howey gave a personal tribute to the deceased and Mr. Annis delivered a comforting sermon. The casket was surrounded by flowers. The sacred duet, "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" was rendered by Mrs. Ernest Waines and Miss Vera McClelland. Six nephews acted as pall bearers, namely, Albert, Reuben, Robert and Clarence Noble, Howard Lawrence and John McGirr. The mourners included deceased’s two soldier sons, Bruce and Lloyd, both of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters, Camp Borden, as well as many relatives from Dyer’s Bay, Durham, Shallow Lake and other points in the district. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery.
