DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT
MEAFORD EXPRESS (1945) - Mrs. Matthew Mill, native of Meaford district, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. P. Harding, at Sault Ste. Marie, Ont, on October 21st, and was laid to rest with a service at the Sacred Heart Church, with Rev. H.R. Brennan officiating. A favorite hymn of the deceased, "Nearer My God To Thee" was sung. Mrs. Miller, nee Lake, had lived at Sault Ste. Marie and vicinity for over 46 years. Surviving are two sons George and William, and one daughter, Mrs. P. Harding, and one brother, Rev. F.C. Lake. Her husband predeceased her thirteen years ago and a brother William, died a month ago in Meaford.
