JOHN DARENDINGER, Corp., son of Rudolph and Anna Darendinger, Sayre, Okla., was born in Berne. Switzerland. May 9. 1893; educated in schools of Berne, entered service April 30, 1918: trained at Camp Standley, Leon Springs, Texas, Bat. E, 44th F. A.., 15th Div.; discharged Feb. 13, 1919, at Camp Bowie.

ALPHA. T. DENNIS, Pvt, son of J. W. and S. E. Dennis, of Delhi, Okla., was born in Conway, Mo., Aug. 10, 1887; educated in Oklahoma Public schools; entered service July 25, 1918; trained. at Camp Funston; ready for overseas when Armistice was signed. Discharged in March, 1919, at Camp F'unston.

DALLAS C. BOLAND. Pvt.. son of Fletcher and Amanda Boland, Erick, Okla., was born in Burlington, Texas. Oct. 1, 1887. educated in Oklahoma schools; entered service March 14, 1918; trained at Ft. Revere, Boston, Mass., 1st Co. C. A. C. and 1st M. T. C.; discharged Dec. 31. 1918, at Ft. Revere.

HARRISON LANE, Pvt, son of J. E. and Rhoda Lane, Hydro. Okla., was born in Frasier, Mo., Sept. 10, 1888; educated in Oklahoma schools. entered service Aug. 5, 1917; trained at Camp Fremont, Cal., Co. G, 13th Reg. Inf. 8th Div.; discharged May 29, 1919.

WALTER N. ELLIOTT. First Class Pvt., son of Samuel and 0llie Elliott, Sayre, OkLa., was born in Gordon, Texas, March 15, 1891; educated in Oklahoma schools, entered service Sept. 19, 1917; trained at Camp Travis, Co. H, 357th Inf. 90th Div.; overseas June, 1918, 16th Co. M. M. Det.; fought in St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne; promoted to First Class Private; discharged at Camp Pike, July 7, 1919.

CLAUDE L. GRIFFIN, Pvt., son of Robt and Susie Griffin, Erick Okla.. was born in Paula Valley, Okla., Dec. 15, 1896; educated in Oklahoma schools; entered service Aug. 25, 1918; trained at Camp Pike, Co. B, 330th Inf. (Convalescent Center); overseas November, 1918; discharged at Camp Pike, March 14, 1919.

GEORGE W. KINDSFATHER, Sgt, son of P. and F. L. Kindsfather, Sayre, Okla., was born in Henryetta, Texas, April 1. 1897. educated in Texas schools; entered service Aug. 25, 1918; trained at Camp Pike, Co. D, 9th Div. Bat; promoted to Sergeant; discharged at Camp Pike, Jan. 30, 1919.

LABIDDY KINNEY, Sgt., son of H. E. and Mattie M. Kinney, Doxey, Okla., was born in Kokomo, Texas, June 11. 1890. educated in Oklahoma schools; entered service Oct. 4, 1917; trained at Camp Travis, Amb. Co. 358, 315th Sanitary Train. 90th Div.; overseas June 27, 1918; fought at St Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne. promoted to Sergeant; discharged June 19, 1919.

THOMAS O. STEPH S. Pvt., son of T. J. and Durah E. Stephens, Erick, Okla., was born in Evening Shade, Ark., Feb. 28, 1892; educated in private school; entered service July 22, 1918; trained at Camp Greenleaf. Ga.; overseas Sept. 26, 1918. 314 F. Hosp. 304th Sanitary Train, fought at Verdun, Great Montagne; discharged June 14. 1919, at Camp Funston.

DELBERT F. WILSON, Pvt., son of Jno. L. and Nettie Wilson, Sayre, Okla„ was born in Tingley, Iowa, Sept. 1, 1897; educated in public schools; entered service Feb. 24, 1918; trained at Camp Travis, Co. B, 343rd Mch, Gun Bat 90th Div., overseas June 22, 1918; fought at St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne; gassed; discharged..

FRANK L. THOMPSON, Pvt., son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Thompson, Tolbert, Texas, was born in Smithfield, Texas, Feb. 9, 1897; educated in Texas public schools, entered service Sept. 6, 1918; trained at Camp Logan, Co. I, 80th Inf., 15th Div.; discharged at Camp Logan. Dec. 28, 1918.

DR. ROBERT C. McCREERY, Major, F. A. C. S. Son of Charles E. and Plotina E. McCreery, was born in DeSoto, Missouri, March 18, 1869; was educated at Cape Girardeau, Missouri; graduated, 1895, P. and S., Chicago; graduated, 1898, Kansas City University of Medicine; graduated, University of Arkansas, 1908; became Fellow in American College of Surgeons, 1914. Entered the service August 4, 1917, first physician from Beckham County to enlist. He received his military training in the Medical Corps at Ft. Sam Houston; 16 months as Chief of the Surgical Staff at the Hying Field, Ft. Sill; as chief operating surgeon was frequently called upon to perform the most difficult operations. He continued the improvement of his military education while awaiting the time when he would be ordered to the front. He was promoted from First Lieutenant to Captain and then to Major. He received his discharge at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, June 1, 1919.

CLIFFORD L. DIETRICH, Private, son of Geo. and Lilly M. Dietrich, Sayre, Okla., was born in Sayre, Oct. 4, 1898, and educated in the Sayre schools. He entered service June 13, 1918, attached to Co. E, 49th Inf., Replacement Troops. Overseas July 26, 1918, to France. There attached to Headquarters Co., 110th Inf., 28th Div.

GEORGE D. SAILOR, Sergeant, son of Henry and Mary E. Sailor, Sayre, Okla., was born in Lisbon, Iowa, Feb. 28, 1869. He graduated from Cornell College at Mount Vernon, Iowa, with B. S. Degree, and Iowa State University, with L. L. B. Degree. Mr. Sailor enlisted Aug. 31, 1918; trained at Camp Jos. E. Johnson, Jacksonville, Fla., attached to 336th Supply Co., Q. M. C. Overseas Oct. 26, 1918, reaching France Nov. 12, and Germany Dec. 9, 1918. Here attached to Depot Quartermaster, 3rd Army, being one of 38 taken for 336th Sup. Co., and sent to Germany with the Army of Occupation. Discharged at Camp Pike, Sept. 18, 1919. Probably the oldest Oklahoman with the Army of Occupation in Germany. Sergeant Sailor is now Post Commander of Glen Russell Martin Post, No. 146, Sayre, Okla., American Legion.

JAMES A. INESTER, Private, son of John W. and Emma Inester, Sayre, Okla., was born in Jacksboro, Texas, Nov. 27, 1893, and educated in the Sayre schools, and Draughon's Business College, Oklahoma City. He enlisted Sept. 6, 1917; trained at Camp Travis with 357th Infantry, Medical Det., 90th Division. Fought with them in St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne. Discharged June 18, 1919, at Camp Pike.

WILLIAM L. INESTER, Private, son of J. W. and Emma Inester, Sayre, Okla., was born in Jacksboro, Texas, Nov. 2, 1895, and was educated in the Sayre schools and Hill's Business College at Oklahoma City. He entered service August 25, 1918, and trained at Camp Pike with Personnel Detachment. Discharged Feb. 26, 1919. Is now Post Adjutant of Glen Russell Martin Post, No. 146, Sayre, Okla.., American Legion.

ARTHUR M. HARTMAN, Private, son of D. E. and Katie Hartman, of Sayre, Okla., was born in Virginia, Nebraska, August 3, 1896, and educated in the Oklahoma public schools. On the 25th of August, 1918, he entered service, and was sent to Camp Pike to train, and assigned to 17th Company of the 5th Tr. Battalion, Replacement. Private Hartman was discharged December 16, 1918, at Ft. Sill.

CECIL CARL HULLUM, Private, Sayre, Okla., son of John A. and Sarah C. HulIum, of Oklahoma City, was born in Norman, Okla., Nov. 26, 1895, and educated at Norman high school and St. Mary's College at St. Marys, Kansas. He entered service August 6, 1918, and was sent to Camp Mabry, Austin, Texas, to train at the University of Texas, with M. T. C. R. U., 304. Discharged from Ft. Sam Houston, Jan. 16, 1919.

OSCAR L. HANCE, Private, son of Jake and Birdie Hance, Erick, Okla., was born in Bonham, Texas, Sept. 5, 1892, and educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. He entered service August 25, 1918, training at Camp Pike with Company M, 55th Infantry, 7th Division. Overseas with same to France Dec. 2, 1918. Discharged at Camp Pike, July 3, 1919.

ARCHIE EDWIN HAMILTON, App. Seaman, Erick,, Okla., son of A. G. and Fannie B. Hamilton, was born in Dale, Okla., April 2, 1898, and educated in the public schools of Oklahoma, Salt City Business College, Hutchinson, Kansas. He entered the Navy June 19, 1918, and trained at Mare Island, and later at San Diego, where he was attached to Company A-3 at San Diego Station (Balboa). Transferred to Submarine Chaser 306 (Coast Patrol and Training Ship). Discharged Feb. 14, 1919, at San Diego.

ROY W. HEFLIN, Sailor, son of John W. and Essie Heflin, Erick, Okla., was horn in Austin, Texas, Jan. 29, 1900, and received his education in the Erick public and high schools. He enlisted in the U. S. Navy on the 11th of May, 1918, and was sent to Mare Island, California, to train. Here he remained until he was discharged, December 18, 1918.

JAMES CLAUDE HOOD, Second Class Seaman, son of J. C. and Nora Hood, Erick, Okla., was born in Omaha, Texas, Sept. 23, 1896, and was a graduate of the Erick high school and the Oklahoma University. He enlisted in the Navy May 10, 1918, and was sent to Mare Island to train on U. S. S. Brutus. Promoted to Second Class Seaman Jan. 23, 1919, the day of his discharge.

ALLEN B. GALLOWAY, First Class Engineer, son of Mr. and Mrs. V. Galloway, Erick, Okla., was born Sept. 29, 1897; educated in the Erick schools. Entered service March 8, 1917; trained at Great Lakes until July 5, 1917, when he sailed overseas on Alceda. The Alceda was torpedoed while he was aboard, 22 lost. Sailed also on U. S. S. Kaiser, Texas, Kearsarge, Finland, Wanderer, Remlik. Discharged at Newport News. October, 1919.

GARLON R. GALLOWAY, Private, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Galloway, was born Jan. 24, 1892, and educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. Entered service Oct. 3, 1917; trained at Camp Travis with 3rd Infantry, Depot Brigade. Overseas, attached to Medical Det., 360th Inf., 90th Division, by his request. Fought in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Left arm broken with shrapnel. Discharged at Camp Pike, June 21, 1919.

WILLIAM CURRENT, Bugler, son of Wm. and Sarah Current, was born in Iowa, October 31, 1888. His first service was in Troop A, 1st Provisional Cavalry, Mexican Insurrectos, under the command of Gen. Madero. Wounded and taken prisoner. Discharged at Chihuahua City, 1911. Enlisted in Oklahoma National Guard, June, 1916; received D. S. C., in August, 1916. Enlisted April 29, 1918, Camp Laurel, Md., Company E. 66th Eng. Det. To France with 21st Company, 14th Division, R. T. C. Discharged May 14, 1919, at Long Island.

EUGENE M. ROOK, First Class Private, son of W. B. and Belle L Rook, of Sayre, Okla., was born in St. James, Missouri, Feb. 10, 1896, and educated in Springfield, Mo., schools. He entered service July 21, 1918, and was sent to Camp Greenleaf, Ga., and attached to Base Hospital 136. He sailed with them for France Oct. 15, 1918. Discharged from Camp Pike, Aug. 2, 1919.

CLYDE CLICK, First Class Private, son of R. D. and Minnie Click, Clinton, Okla., was born in Dennison, Texas, May 16, 1891. He entered service June 24, 1918, and was sent to Camp Cody and attached to Company E, 135th Inf., 34th Division. Overseas Oct. 12, 1918. In France, attached to Company E. 142nd Inf., 36th Division. He was discharged at Camp Bowie, June 16, 1919.

VIRGIL H. GLISSON, Private, son of E. W. and Lou J. Glisson, Erick, Okla., was born Aug. 1, 1893, in Stephensville, Texas, and educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. On September 5, 1918, he enlisted and was sent to Camp Logan to train with Machine Gun Co., 43rd Infantry, Replacement. Here he remained until given his discharge papers, December 15, 1918, at Camp Logan.

JOHN F. BONIFIELD, Private, son of R. P. and Mollie Bonifield, Delhi, Okla., was born in Chico, Texas, December 30, 1894, and educated in the Texas public schools. On August 26, 1918, he entered the Army, and was attached to Company A. 7th Battalion, Replacement Training Center, at Camp Pike, training with them until he was discharged on December 23, 1918.

ERNEST D. BOGGS, Corporal, son of Wm. and. Josephine Boggs, Sayre, Okla., was born in Carroll, Missouri, March 4, 1893, and received his education in the Sayre schools. He entered service Sept. 7, 1917, training with Company H, 357th Inf., 90th Division, at Camp Travis. Overseas with them, and fought with them in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Was wounded in battle. Discharged March 1, 1919, at Camp Pike.

LEWIS F. RILEY, Private, son of J. F. and Nannie J. Riley, Erick, Okla., was born in Haskell City, Texas. Feb. 17, 1892, and was educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. On Sept. 19, 1917, he enlisted and was sent to Camp Travis, attached to Unassigned Cavalry, Det. 4, R. Bn., Depot Det. Sailed with them in April, 1918, for France. Fought in Champagne, Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne. Slightly gassed. Discharged May 17, 1919.

RALPH A. SCHWARTZ, Sergeant, son of Joseph P. and Caroline Schwartz, of Vinita, was born in Okarche, Okla., Jan. 7, 1895, and educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. He entered service Aug. 25, 1918, training at Camp Pike with Company C, 1st Inf., Rep. Tr. Center, where he was held to train Recruits. Used every effort to enlist as he weighed only 98 lbs. at time of enlistment. Discharged at Camp Pike, January 8, 1919.

BERT A. BRITTAIN, Private, son of Lucian and Orlena Brittain, Sayre. Okla., was born in Viola, Arkansas, Nov. 20, 1895, and educated in the Sayre schools. He enlisted Feb. 25, 1918, training at Camp Sheridan, Alabama, attached to Company A, 22nd Engineers Detachment. To France June 29, 1918. Fought in Toul Sector, St. Millie. Discharged at Camp Pike, July 22, 1919

LEE D. McDERMETT, Post Adjutant of Erick, Okla., Post 113, American Legion, is the son of S. E. and Mary V. McDermett, of San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Hico, Texas, January 22, 1895, and graduated from Altus, Okla., high school and Carver Chiropractic College. On June 24, 1918, he enlisted, was sent to Camp Cody and attached to Cooks and Bakers, O. M. C. Discharged Dec. 14, 1918, at Camp Cody.

WILLIAM E. JONES, Private, son of Wm. H. and Carrie Jones, Sayre, Okla., was born in Cisco, Texas, March 12, 1894, and educated in the public schools of Texas. On October 3, 1917, he entered service in the Army, and trained with Field Hospital 357, 90th Division. Sailed for France in June. Saw service in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Discharged June 25, 1919. at Camp Pike.

CORNELIUS MARTIN, Private, son of J. S. and Sarah A. Martin, of Sayre, Okla., was born in Ardmore, Okla., Aug. 1, 1892, and educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. On May 27, 1918, he enlisted at Camp Bowie, training with Company A, 144th Infantry, 36th Division, sailing with them for France in July. Fought in Meuse-Argonne and Somme-Py Sector. Discharged at Camp Bowie.

ROBERT T. GROVER, Private, Doxie, Okla., son of W. P. and Mollie Grover, of West Plains, Missouri, was born in Walnut, Kansas, July 17, 1896. He graduated from the Sayre high school. Mr. Grover enlisted August 14, 1918, training at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas with Company A, Penn. Field Training Camp Detachment.

JOHN H. KINNEY, First Class Private, son of H. E. and Mattie Kinnie, of Doxie, Okla., was born in Ranger, Texas, Jan. 14, 1896, and educated the Oklahoma public schools. He entered service Feb. 24, 1918, training at Camp Travis with Company B, 343rd Machine Gun Battalion, 90th Division. Overseas June, 1918, to France; fought in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Discharged at Camp Pike, June 18, 1919.

ROY F. DUNLAP, Cook, son of J. O. and Martha E. Dunlap, Sayre, Okla., was born in Kansas, March 21, 1892; enlisted Sept. 19, 1917; trained at Camp Travis; overseas June, 1918, France; fought at St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne. Discharged June 19, 1919.

R. P. McDANIEL, Private, son of A. S. and Ida T. McDaniel, Foss, Okla., was born in Texas, May 21, 1897. Enlisted Sept. 5, 1918; did not go overseas. Discharged at Camp Logan, Feb. 11, 1919.

JAMES SPURLIN, Private, son of Geo. W. and Charlotte Spurler, Erick, Okla., was born in Memphis, Texas, Oct. 23, 1892. Enlisted May 28, 1918; trained at Camp Bowie; overseas July, 1918, France; fought at St. Mihiel. Discharged at Camp Bowie, June 18, 1919.

FREDERICK R. WEST, Private, was born in Kansas, July 20, 1890. Enlisted Oct. 11, 1917; trained at Camp Travis; did not go overseas. Discharged Oct. 19, 1919, at Camp Travis.

EDWARD PAUL WEST, Private, son of B. T. and Mary E. West, Sayre, Okla., was born in Kansas, June 3, 1894. Enlisted Oct. 7, 1917; trained at Camp Bowie; overseas in July, France; fought at Argonne and Verdun. Discharged at Camp Bowie, June 19, 1919.

BENJAMIN T. WEST, JR., Munition Worker, was born in Kansas, May 25, 1903; worked at Old Hickory Plant, Nashville, Tenn. Released Dec. 19, 1918.

CHARLES D. WEST, Private, son of B. T. and Mary E. West, Sayre, Okla., was born in Kansas, Dec. 19, 1895. Enlisted Aug. 25, 1918; trained at Camp Hancock; did not go overseas. Discharged at Camp Hancock, March 21, 1919.

HOWARD V. and KENNETH B. HUFFER, sons of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Huffer, Mulhall, Okla. Howard V. was born in Indiana, Nov. 1, 1893; educated in Oklahoma schools; enlisted August, 1917; trained at Ft. Logan. Col; sent to New Orleans and then to Camp Pike; promoted to Corporal; discharged at Houston, Texas, May 28, 1919. Kenneth B. was born in Indiana, April 5, 1898; educated in the Oklahoma schools; enlisted April 5, 1918; trained at Ft. Logan; ordered to Siberia when Armistice was signed.

GORDON G. LEWIS, son of W. W. and Jennie Lewis, Hunter, Okla., was born in Whiteside, Missouri, Sept. 17, 1895; educated in the Whiteside and Hunter, Okla., schools and entered the service Oct. 3, 1917, receiving his military training at Camp Travis, Texas, Company C, 344th Machine Gun Battalion; embarked overseas June 19, 1918, and landed in England and France; promoted to Private First Class. Discharged at Camp Pike, June 23, 1919.

WILLIAM LINGERFELT, son of Mrs. E. H. Ehmans, Maud, Okla., was born in Tennessee, March 3, 1893; educated in the schools of Tennessee and Oklahoma. Entered the service in May, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Logan; embarked overseas in 1918; was in the engagements at Chateau Thierry and Argonne Forrest; gassed; discharged at Camp Pike, January 1, 1918.

JAMES M. GOIN, son of Mrs. S. E. Smith Marlow, Okla., was born in Cooper, Texas, Dec. 15, 1895; educated in the Oklahoma schools. Entered the service Sept. 5, I917, and received his military training at Camp Travis, Headquarters Company, 358th Infantry, 90th Division; embarked overseas and landed in France; fought at St. Mihiel and other points. Discharged at Camp Pike, June 22, 1919.

RAY N. TAYLOR, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Taylor, Durant, Okla., was born in Texas, May 24, 1896; educated in the Durant schools and Southeast Normal (graduate). Entered the service May 6, 1917, and received his naval training at the Great Lakes Training Station; assigned to Base Hospital at Norfolk, Va.; embarked overseas in May, 1918, and landed in Cuba, U. S. S. Idaho. Discharged at Dallas, Texas, June 10, 1919.

WILLIAM B. STUBBS, Private, son of B. T. and Madie Stubbs, Erick, Okla., was born in Texas, June 30, 1896; educated in the Erick public schools. Entered the service Sept. 15, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Logan, Jan. 20, 1919.

JAMES ARMSTRONG. Electrician Third Class, Navy, son of B. H. and Emma L. Armstrong, Erick, Okla., was born in Illinois, Dec. 12, 1896; educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. Entered the service May 11, 1918, and received his military training at Mare Island, Cal.; on duty at the Panama Sub Base. Released Sept 12, 1919. (Inactive duty).

CLARK B. BROOKS, Private, son of Charles and Gertrude Brooks, Erick, Okla., was born in Des Moines, Iowa, Nov. 30, 1893; educated in the public schools of California. Entered the service May 27, 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Camp Bowie, 143rd Infantry, 36th Division; an ulcerated tooth prevented his going aboard for France; assigned to U. S. Gen. Hospital Biltmore, Asheville, N. C. Discharged January 22, 1919, at Camp Bowie.

JAMES A. BROOKS. Fireman First Class, Navy, son of Charles and Gertrude Brooks, Erick. Okla., was born in Woodland, Cal., July 31, 1895, and educated in the California public schools. Entered the service Dec. 12 1917, and received his naval training at the Great Lakes Training Station; assigned to Battleship Maine; did not go overseas. Discharged at Dallas, Texas, Sept. 24, 1919.

BERT ROBERTS, Private, son of James and Betty Roberts, Gainesville, Arkansas, was born in Gainesville, Arkansas, August 14, 1890; educated in the public schools of his native state. Entered the service May 27, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Bowie, Company B, 141st Infantry, 36th Division; embarked overseas July, 1918, landing in France; fought at the Meuse-Argonne; reported missing in action; uninjured, and returned to his country, receiving his discharge at Camp Bowie, June 19. 1919.

R. T. LaRUE, Corporal, son of C. H. and Mary E. LaRue, Stafford, Okla., was born in Montague, Texas, Sept. 25, 1887; educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. He entered the service Sept. 5, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Logan, Headquarters, 79th Infantry. 15th Division; taught in the gas school at Camp Logan: trained with the Regular Army Division which has the record of completing the course in five months. Discharged at Camp Logan, Feb. 5, 1919.

THOMAS M. LOWRY, Sergeant, son of John W. and N. E. Lowry, Sayre, Okla., was born in Decatur, Texas, March 24, 1891; finished his education in the Central State Normal at Edmond, Okla. He entered the service Feb. 24, 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Camp Travis, Texas; embarked overseas in June, 1918, landing in France, Headquarters, 14th Battalion, 20th Engineers, 1st Division; was in the engagements at Meuse-Argonne; promoted to Sergeant. Discharged at Camp Pike, Oct. 11, 1919.

E. A. CHRISTOPHER, Private, son of A. R. D. and Nancy J. Christopher, Sayre, Okla.,. was born in Mineral Wells, Texas. Dec. 16, 1895; educated in the schools of Oklahoma. He entered the service July 25, 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Camp Travis, Texas; embarked overseas in October, 1918, landing in France, Company B, 328th Infantry, 82nd Division; fought in the engagements on the Verdun. Received his discharge at Ft. Bliss, June 5, 1919.

ALONZO TUCKER, son of Geo. W. and Sallie Tucker, Hunter. Okla., was born in Grant County, Oklahoma, in October, 1896; educated in the Rose Valley, Okla., schools. Entered the service Sept. 4, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Logan, Motor Transport Corps; did not go overseas; promoted to Sergeant. Discharged at Camp Funston, April 3, 1919.

ERNEST E. BROWN, son of W. H. and Martha Brown, was born in Illinois, March 8, 1892; graduate of the State University of Oklahoma. Entered the service Sept. 2, 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Camp Taylor: did not go overseas. Discharged at Camp Taylor, Nov. 30, 1918.

GLENN R. MARTIN. Sergeant, son of J. C. and Edna Martin, Sayre, Okla., was born in Davenport, Iowa. Dec. 8, l891; educated in the schools of West Liberty, Iowa. Entered the service Sept. 7, 1917, and received his military training at Camp Travis; embarked overseas Sept. 7, 1917, landing in France, Company H, 357th Infantry, 90th Division. He participated in nearly all of the operations, going through uninjured; contracted pneumonia and died Feb. 15, 1919. He risked ah\ he gave all in the great cause of Freedom and Peace. His name will endure always.

WILLIAM H. VEIDT, Private, son of Harry and Mary Veidt, Ft. Worth, Texas, was born in Anadarko, Okla., Sept. 9, 1893; graduate of the Anadarko high school. Entered the service May 27, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Bowie, Company F, 141st Infantry, 36th Division; embarked overseas in July, 1918, and landed in France. Discharged at Camp Travis, July 3, 1919.

LLOYD THOMAS, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Thomas, Holdenville, Okla., was born in Perry, Okla., June 26, 1893; educated in the Holdenville high school. Entered the service March 21 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Ft. Sam Houston, Camp Bowie and Ft. Sill; was attached to the 309th Cavalry and then to the 57th Field Artillery; did not go overseas and received his discharge Feb. 9, 1919, at Ft. Sill.

FANNIE THOMAS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Thomas, Holdenville, Okla., was born in Frisco, Okla., March 3, 1891; educated in the Holdenville high school and A. & M. College. Entered the service June l, 1918, and received her training as nurse at Camp McArthur, Texas, and continued at that Camp, undergoing her duties until her discharge which occurred November 27, 1918.

EL DEN BONNETT, son of Jone and Jane Bonnett, Hunter, Okla., was born in Smith County, Kansas, Nov. 16 1895; educated in the schools of Hunter and the Guthrie high school. Entered the service Dec. 12, 1918, and received his military training at Denver, Colo., 93rd Balloon Corps; did not go overseas and received his discharge at Waco, Texas. Jan. 19, 1919.

GEORGE E. VARNER, Private, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Varner, Dewar, Okla., was born in Tennessee, Feb. 8, 1896; educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. Entered the service May 25, 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Camp Bowie, Company E, 132nd Field Artillery, 36th Division; embarked overseas July 31, 1918, landing in France; participated in the operations of the 36th Division and returning to this country received his discharge at Camp Bowie, April 11, 1918.

FRANK H. KLUMP, Sergeant 1st Class, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Klump, Bartlesville, Okla., was born in Illinois, Dec. 25, 1890; educated in the public schools of Illinois. Entered the service in August, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Grant, Illinois; did not go overseas and received his discharge at Camp Grant in March, 1919.

L. R. I’KARD, Sharpshooter, son of M. and Nellie I’Kard, Ardmore, Okla., was born in Henrietta, Texas, March .1, 1895; graduate of the Ardmore high school; entered the service in June, 1917; guard duty at Boston, Mass., Marine Corps; did not go overseas. Discharged at Boston, Mass., in March, 1919.

HARRY L. HAIT Private, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Hait, Bartlesville, Okla., was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., July 20. 1892; educated in the schools of Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma. Entered the service August 15, 1918. and received his military training at Fayetteville, Arkansas; did not go overseas. Discharged at Ft. Worth, Texas, Jan. 20, 1919.

ERNEST H. GRUNERT, Private, son of E. K. and Catherine Grunert, Ardmore, Okla., was born in Dallas, Texas, Jan. 31, 1894; graduate of the Ardmore high school. Entered the service Sept. 19, 1917, and under an intensive military training at Camp Travis, 357th Infantry, 90th Division; embarked overseas June 19, 1919, landing in France; participated in the engagements at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne. Received his discharge at Camp Pike, June 2, 1919.

KARL R. GRUNERT, Navy, son of E. R. and Catherine Grunert, Ardmore, Okla., was born in Roswell, New Mexico, October 25, 1900; graduate of the Ardmore high school. Entered the service March 25, 1917, and received his Naval training at the Great Lakes Training Station, U. S. S. Utah; three months off the Irish coast. Discharged at San Francisco, Oct 28, 1919.

ARTHUR P. GRUNERT, Private, son of E. K. and Catherine Grunert, Ardmore, Okla., was born in Roswell, New Mexico, May 25, 1897; graduate of the Ardmore high school. Entered the service May 14, 1918, and received his military training at Camp Funston, Kansas; embarked overseas June 14, 1918, returned to Base Hospital, Ft. Sam Houston, April 20, 1919. Still in the service.

HENRY MILLS RICE, Private, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Rice, Dewar, Okla., was born in Missouri, August 20, 1890; educated in the public schools of Oklahoma. Entered the service October 4, 1917, and underwent an intensive military training at Camp Travis and Camp Bowie, Company F, 111th Supply Train, 36th Division; embarked overseas in July, I918, landing in France; promoted to Corporal. Discharged at Camp Bowie, June 17, 1919.

FRED J. and HENRY E. MUSNER, sons of Herman and Margaret Musner, Fairmont, Okla. Fred J. was born in Kansas, April 11, 1892; educated in the Fairmont schools; enlisted March 14, 1918; trained at Jefferson Barracks, Mo.; embarked overseas August, 1918, Battery E, 76th Artillery, C. A. C; transferred to Ft. Pribble, Maine; promoted to Sergeant; discharged at Camp Pike, May 27, 1919. Henry E. was born in Kansas, Jan. 1, 1894; educated in the Fairmont schools; enlisted June 10, 1917; trained at Tecumseh, Neb., 34th Corps, 109th Supply Train; embarked overseas Oct. 28, 1918, landing in France; promoted to Corporal; discharged at Camp Pike, July 8, 1919.

WILLIAM T. and ANDREW T. GALT, sons of J. E. and Miriam Galt, Ardmore, Okla. William T. was born in Ardmore, Dec. 13, 1898; graduate Ardmore high school; entered the service June 7, 1917; trained at Camp Bowie; embarked overseas July, 1918; fought at St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne; discharged at Camp Bowie June 18, 1919. Andrew T. was born Sept. 3, 1895; graduate Ardmore high school; entered the service June 1, 1917; trained at Camp Bowie; did not go overseas-, received his discharge at Camp Bowie, March 15, 1919.

HARRY J LaBORNE, Corporal, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. LaBorne, Oklahoma City, was born in Oklahoma City, Nov. 7, 1898, and received his education in the schools of his native city. He entered the service July 16, 1918, and underwent an intensive military training at Ft. Logan, 25th Regiment, Battery F, Coast Artillery; did not go overseas; promoted from Private to Corporal. Received his discharge at Camp Funston, Kansas.

JOSEPH J. WALKER, Private, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Walker, Cushing, Okla., was born in Payne County, Oklahoma, Oct 24, 1897; educated in the Cushing public schools. Entered the service April 11, 1917, and received his military training at Ft. Logan and Ft. Bliss; embarked overseas with Pershing’s first Army, Company D, 16th Inf., 1st Division; transferred to Company A, 2nd Machine Gun Battery. He was in all of the operations of his Division, and was killed in action by a shell at Fleville. He made the supreme sacrifice for mankind, and sleeps with those other immortals whose names will be remembered wherever patriots live.

ERNEST P. METZ, son of L. P. and Ida T. Metz, Temple, Okla., was born in Williamston, South Carolina, May 2, 1897; educated in the schools of Senaca, S. C, and Temple, Okla. He entered the service April 28, 1918, and received his training; at the Marine Station at Boston, Mass.; was not ordered overseas; promoted to Chief Water Tender. Received his discharge at Norfolk, Va., March 26, 1919.

JAMES L. METZ, son of L. P. and Ida T. Metz, Temple, Okla., was born in Williamston, South Carolina, June 8. 1893, and received his education in the schools of Seneca, S. C; entered the service in July, 1910. and received his naval training at Key West, Fla.; embarked July 10 to the Philippines and Japan; enlisted the second time June 5, 1917; promoted to Water Tender. Discharged at New Orleans, May 1. 1919.

JAS. H. HILL, Sgt., son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Hill. Edmond, Okla., was born in Tennessee, May 31, 1892. Enlisted Feb. 24, 1918; trained at Washington and Oregon; Spruce Div.; discharged at Camp Pike, in February, 1919.

HARRY HILL, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Hill, Edmond, Okla., was born in Tennessee, Dec. 8, 1890. Enlisted in April, 1917; trained at Topeka, Kan., and L. L, N. Y.; overseas September, 1917; fought at Argonne; wounded twice. Discharged at Camp Funston, in May, 1917.

JOE M. RANDOLPH, Private son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Randolph, Pauls Valley, Okla., was born in Oklahoma, Oct. 9, 1895 enlisted Feb. 25, 1918; trained at Camps Travis and Sam Houston; did not go overseas. Discharged at Ft. Sam Houston. Dec. 27, 1919.

LESTER W. TAYLOR Destiny marked him for one of the world's heroes. He answered his country's call to colors and marched away to uphold the traditions of his country and family. His forbears helped hew this great country from out of a Tennessee wilderness. The world prostrated and almost under the heavy hand of destruction cried to mankind to be saved and the patriots from over the world hastened to its relief. This young soldier in the vanguard marched unfaltering into the fray and on that foreign battle field laid his young life upon the altar of Liberty. He, with the others who made the supreme sacrifice made the world safe for Freedom and Peace, and in coming times, when the World War is indeed forgotten, standing bright and glowing on history's eternal pages the names of this hero and the thousands of his brother soldiers who died for the right Lester W. Taylor, Sergeant, son of R.R. and Fannie Hall Taylor, Temple, Okla., was born in Reagan, Tennessee, July 22, 1895. He was educated in the schools of Temple. Entered the service May 4, 1917, and underwent an intensive military training at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., Company C, 15th Machine Gun Battalion, 5th Division. He was in various engagements, suffering a slight wound, and later at Dieulouard, on Sept 29, 1918, he was killed in action by an explosive shell. He died that the world might live.

JOHN V. COVER, Second Class Storekeeper, Navy, son of C. E. and Emma L. Cover, Okmulgee, Okla., was born in Missouri, May 21, 1900. He entered the service December 27, 1916, and received his military training at Goat Island, San Francisco, Cal.; went across seven times with convoys to different countries; served on U. S. S. Chattanooga, Morristown, Remlik, and Connecticut; a long, active record which went far to help win the world war and save mankind from destruction. He was discharged at the Navy Yard, Philadelphia, Nov. 13, 1919.
