"Ghost" town of Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma Location: 10 miles west and 2 miles south of Shawnee
W. T. Willson was the first postmaster and he also had the first store. Doug Wyant later had a store in Waco. Tom Walden owned a blacksmith shop and grist mill in 1909. Frank Whitten, later a Deputy Sheriff, lived near Waco. Early day families living near Waco were: William T. Willson, F.W. Stout, Isiah E. Chambless, Nolan B. Deford, Martin V. Bain, Charles R. Dean W.T. Love, J.G. Long, and Epam A. Moody
