SEWELL
"Ghost" town of 
Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Location:  5 miles southwest of Tecumseh
Existed:  May 13, 1905 - December 31, 1905
Named for: Dr. N. Sewell

Dr. Sewell came to the county in 1899.  Jonathan F. Winters waas the first Postmaster.

Several years after the town ceased, the same area where the community began, was called Brooksville.  Other families living near the town were:
