RUGGLES
"Ghost" town of 
Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Location:  5 miles south of Tecumseh
Established:  about 1894
Named for: W.A. Ruggles

This little town consisted of one general store and depot on the Rock Island branch line, commonly called "Old Beck."  There was never a Post Office for the town.  Families living in the Ruggles area included:

William K. Sampel
William J. Brown
John P. Johnston
W.A. Ruggles
Samuel McGahey
Joseph E. Bomar
Guy A. Ruggles
