MORVIN
"Ghost" town of 
Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Location:  4 miles north and one mile west of McComb
Existed:  April 13, 1898 - May, 1905
Named for:  the favorite horse of Roachelle C. Hurst

Mr. Hurst was owner and operator of the first general store.  He also owned teh blacksmith shop and cotton gin in Mrovin.  Mrs. Clara Hurst was the first  postmistress.  W.B. Howard and Abe Hargiss were shopkeepers.  Homesteaders in the area included:

John M. Rader
E.M. Dragoo
the Haxton Family
Marion Bright
Scott Williams
J.M. Tucker
James M. Curry
Henry G. Huff was the last postmaster in the town.
