"Ghost" town of Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma Location: about 4 miles south and 1 mile west of
Sacred Heart and only about 1 mile north of Young's Crossing
Meanko actually served as the postoffice for nearby Young's Crossing where there were 11 saloons and two stores. Buck Blackwell, a well-known horse and cattle thief in the southern part of the county near the Jefferson community, was shot and killed by George Lewis.
