Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Location:  5 miles southwest of Maud
Existed:  September 7, 1898 until September 3, 1901
Named for:  Inez Hazelwood, local resident

Hannah Scott was the first postmaster.  Her husband owned a store, and was a homesteader in the run of 1891. The original first choice for the name was “Ozark”. Homesteaders living in the same area were:
