Ghost" town of 
Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Location:  5 miles west of Shawnee
Existed:  March 26, 1901 until October 31, 1904
Named for:  J.R. Gaddy

Jesse Risdon Gaddy, Sr. was a homesteader in 1891.  Mr. McGeehee owned the first store but soon after, J. R. Gaddy, opened the first blacksmith shop.  Dave McCoy and Mr. Ellis were early day store keepers. Grandpa Blackburn donated the land to start the Blackburn Cemetery, next to Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church.  Other homesteaders were:
