C. D. Dillman Awning Firm Founder, Dies
Charlie D. Dillman sr., 67, 1429 NW 31, retired founder of the Dillman Awning Co., died Wednesday at his home after an extended illness.

Services will be announced by Guardian funeral home. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial park, northeast of Oklahoma City. Dillman was born Oct. 4, 1889, at Jamesport, Mo., and came to Oklahoma in 1927. establishing the awning firm. He operated it until retiring in 1953. HQ was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are three sons, Fred and Charlie D. jr., both of Oklahoma City, and L. E., Yates Center. Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Faye Stephenson and Mrs. Mary Nave, both of Oklahoma City. and Mrs. Doris Ott, Las Vegas, Nev.; 11 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Iva Phillips, Yates Center, Kan.
