DAVIS, H.L . " Roy ", 80, of Midwest City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 28, 1993. He was born July 16, 1912 in Adamsville, TN. to Herman L. and Eula Davis . He moved to Midwest City in 1946 and was a paint contractor in Okla. City until his retirement. Member of the Athletes of "30" Capitol Hill, he played sandlot baseball. He was an avid golfer, and loved to fish, garden and paint. He married Goldie Comer Oct. 5, 1935 in Okla. City.

Survived by wife, Goldie, of the home; 3 sons, Leroy Davis of Midwest City, Richard Davis of Houston, TX. and David Davis of Choctaw; 5 grandchildren, Christa Goins, Mike Davis , Christopher Davis , Angela Goforth and Kevin Davis ; 2 great grandchildren, Rashelle Goins and Rachel Davis ; a brother, Aubrey Davis of Okla. City; 3 sisters, Katheryn Salter, and Sue Young, both of Bethany, Ok. and Peggy Maitlen of Cushing, Ok. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Association.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wed., March 3, 1993 in the Midwest Blvd. Christian Church with burial in Arlington Memory Gardens. Dr. Robert L. Griffin will officiate.

Goldie Mae Davis, 90, of Midwest City, died Dec. 30, 2005. Goldie was born near Fayetteville, Ark. on March 8, 1915, the third child of Joseph Lloyd and Myrna Hall Comer. She married H.L. "Roy" Davis on Oct. 5, 1935 at St. Luke's Methodist Church. Roy and Goldie raised their three sons in Midwest City. Goldie was an active member of the Sooner Home Demonstration Club and many bridge clubs. She enjoyed fishing and golfing with her husband and got a hole in one at John Conrad Golf Coarse when she was in her 70's. Roy preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by her sons and their wives; Leroy and Gloria Davis of Midwest City; Richard Davis of Kingwood, TX; David and Kay Davis of Choctaw; a sister and her husband, Joan and Bill Saak of Okla. City; 5 Grandchildren and their spouses, Christa and Rich Goins, Michael Leroy Davis, Christopher and Maihan Davis, Angela and Michael Goforth and Kevin Davis; 4 Step Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service at 10am Wednesday at the Midwest Blvd. Christian Church with burial in Arlington Memory Gardens.
