Watha Laverne Gage-Cox was born October 4, 1928 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Elmer and Jewel (Strickland) Pittman. She passed from this life on January 1, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her first husband Joe Gage, second husband Orbia Cox, and one grandson Timothy Chase.

She is survived by her daughters Karen and husband Victor; Nona and husband T. Frank Collins; sons Nelson Gage and wife Paula; Jimmy Gage and wife Cathy; 2 stepdaughters Teresa Chase and Ramona Cox; 1 sister Jackie and husband George Roberts; and 1 brother Dewey Pittman; 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. Watha retired from Macklanburg-Duncan in Oklahoma City where she worked for many years as an accountant. She helped organize the Midwest City Firefighters' Women's Auxiliary and served as the first president. She loved bowling, traveling, cross-stitching, crocheting, needlepoint and reading.

Services will be held at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens. A reception will be held at Sunny Lane Reception Center following the interment.

            MIDWEST CITY , OK

Orbia Houston Cox , 87, a WWII Veteran passed away on September 25, 2011. Orb was born June 30, 1924 in Summerfield, OK to Jonathan Christopher and Ora Ida (White) Cox . He worked many years as a glazier. Orb enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Shriner's.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Helen Cox and her family; grandson, Timothy Chase; siblings, JC Cox Jr., Dale Cox and Reba Loyd.

Survivors include his wife, Watha L. Cox ; children, Ramona Miller, Teresa Chase; step-children, Karen Shumate and husband Victor, Nona Collins and husband T. Frank, Nelson Gage and wife Paula, Jim Gage and wife Cathy; grandchildren, Christi Brown, Christopher Chase and wife Tiffany; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Savanah, Aubrey, Ian, Austin, and Emily; siblings, Louise Earls, Ivan Cox , Harold Cox and wife Doris, Jim Cox and wife Jenny, Sherman Cox and wife Shirley, Delton Cox and wife Deloris, and Freda Barrick and husband David; and also a number of step-grandchildren, family and friends that will all miss him dearly.

The family will be receiving guests from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011 here at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Summerfield Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Summerfield Cemetery.
