Kay E. Hamilton, 59 year-old resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away April 4, 2011 in St. Anthony's Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born August 24, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Jesse James King and Georgia Marie Harper King.

She married Glenn Hamilton on June 28, 1968. They resided together in Midwest City, Oklahoma where they raised three children together and contributed in the raising of another foster daughter. Kay was a member of Shady Nook Freewill Baptist Church where she served and worked for 40 years. She was a Sunday School teacher to many children that still know her today, a church and association clerk, secretary, nursery worker, and a youth camp sponsor and cook. She loved all kids especially her grandchildren. Kay was a Family First lady and one who definitely "Took Charge" at whatever she thought needed to get accomplished. She loved to crochet and do embroidery work, and especially loved working with kids at the YMCA. Kay was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Marie King; her sister, Lacretta Sue King-Pearson; and one brother, Keith Douglas King.

Survivors include her husband Glenn Hamilton of the home; one son, Christopher Hamilton and his wife Reba; two daughters, Lesley Hamilton-Ward and her husband Michael; Tammy Hamilton-Inabnit; her father, Jessie King; one foster daughter, Ashley Hughes; one brother, Don Lesley King; one sister, Donna Paulette King-Vinson; ten grandchildren, Seth David Filippo; Kayla Lynn Filippo; Dillon Michael Ward; Skylar Mae Ward; Megan Elizabeth Inabnit; Morgan Marie Inabnit; Madison Michelle Lane; Christopher Chance Hamilton; Faith Lynn Hamilton; and Cody Brandon Lane; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 with Brother James Ticer and Pastor Randall Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
