Minnie Ida Gathright, 94, went home to be with her Lord, Jan. 21, 1991. She was born April 23, 1896 in Round Mountain, Al. to M.J. and Kittie Copeland. She and F.C. Gathright were wed in Sulphur Springs, Tx. on Christmas Day, 1922. They made their home near Nashville, Ar., moving to Idabel, Ok. in 1933. They farmed and operated the Idabel Mattress Factory for many years. To this union 5 sons and 2 daughters were born.

She was widowed in 1970 and moved to OKC in 1979. She was a member of Jefferson Heights Baptist Church and was active in Sonlighters.

She is survived by 4 sons, Frank Jr., Dewey, Gordon and James, and 1 daughter, Faye Sanders, all of OKC; 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a sister, Iva J. Copeland of Idabel; 1 nephew and 2 nieces.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Lee, and a sister, Jewell. Minnie enjoyed life, being with her family, and never had a thing to grumble about.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1991, at Jefferson Heights Baptist Church, with pastor Charles Teel officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Antioch Cemetery, Nashville, Ar., after a visitation time in Idabel at the Central Baptist Church from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
