Mickey Lewis "Tank" Blackstock , loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 21 days. He was born November 11, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to Norman Jean and Betty Jo (Jones) Blackstock . Mickey was in the U.S. Army and served his country as a medic during several conflicts in the Vietnam War Era. His sacrifice complicated his health for years and Mickey was presented the Bronze Star. Upon his military discharge, Mickey worked at G.M. where he was known for his love of Rock 'n Roll music. fishing, playing golf, an occasional cigar and collecting a little bit of everything were some of Mickey 's pleasures.

Preceded in death by his father, Norman Jean; son, Jeremy Gene; and brother, Steven Victor Blackstock . Mickey is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah K. (Snell) Blackstock ; daughter, Amy Cherry and husband Roland; grandchildren, Hunter, Ethan, and Elijah Blackstock and Kaylee Grace Cherry due in May; parents, Robert and Betty Jackson; sisters, Jean Goolsby, Diane Nichols, Margaret Romriell, Tammy Jackson and Melissa Pharis; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Quality Care Hospice, 921 South Sooner Rd., Midwest City, OK 73110. The family will be available for visitation at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home, 1820 South Douglas Blvd., MWC, Friday, February 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Services for Mickey will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Soldier Creek Baptist Church, 9021 S.E. 15th, MWC, OK, with interment to follow at Kolb Cemetery.
