JAMES E. Orr , 83, of Choctaw, passed away June 4, 1998. Born Aug. 21, 1913 in Union City, OK to Walter & Effie Orr . He retired from civil service at Tinker AFB in 1981 & was a 32 degree Mason.

James E. is survived by his 3 children, Jimmie Orr & wife Ethel of Choctaw, Shirley Smith of Great Falls, MT & Debbie Valouch & husband, John of Eufaula, OK; 4 grandchildren, Randy & Susan Orr & Phillip & Amy Valouch; 1 great grandson, Connor James Orr & 1 brother, Alden Orr of Wichita, KS.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mavis & 2 sisters. Services will be 10:00 am, Mon. with Soldier Creek Baptist Church with burial at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw.

Mavis M. Orr, 72, of Choctaw, passed away Apr 9, 1996. Born Aug. 21, 1923 in Okarche to Alfred Lee & Elsie Ann (Heupel) Higgins. Married James E. Orr Apr. 30, 1941 in Chickaha, Ok. Their union was blessed with 3 children. Mavis is survived by her husband, James, of the home; children, Jimmie Orr of Choctaw, Shirley Smith of Great Falls, Mt. & Debbie Valouch of Eufaula, Ok; 5 grandchildren; 6 sisters, 3 brothers; and a host of other relatives & friends. Preceded in death by her parents & a sister. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Fri, Apr 12th at Soldier Creek Baptist Church with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Choctaw, OK.
