McCorkle, Bobby Gene (Corky) went to rejoice with his heavenly Father on May 18, 2003. He was born in Putnam, OK to Grady and Cecil McCorkle on January 30, 1929. Bob served his country with the United States Air Force receiving a Honorable Discharge in January 1950. He was a 1947 graduate of Midwest City High School and a 32nd Degree Mason. Bob was active in the building trade during the early development of Midwest City and later worked for Haliburton Oil and Dow Chemical. Bob could fix, remodel, or rehabilitate anything and did so for family, friends, and devoted customers.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Patty McCorkle of Amarillo, TX, his daughter Connie Howell and husband John of Midwest City, son Tom McCorkle of Tulsa, OK, daughter-in-law, Karen McCorkle of Houston, TX; grandchildren Michael and David Lucas of Midwest City, Kelli and Jason McCorkle of Houston TX, and Don and Lacey McCorkle of Shawnee, OK.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bruce McCorkle and parents, Grady and Cecil McCorkle. Survivors also include his sisters. Regena Johnson and husband Joe of Midwest City, Lucy Markham and husband Roger of Kansas City, Sena Peterson and husband Alvin of Savage, Minnesota; brothers William McCorkle and wife Betty of Talequah, OK and Grady McCorkle and wife Danette of Oklahoma City; step-mother Fern McCorkle of Midwest City; special friend Jean Sieg of Edmond, OK; a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 21, 2003 in the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment in Arlington Memory Gardens. Family and friends visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Eisenhour Southeast. Bill Eisenhour Southeast 5005 S.E. 29 672-1321
