Minnie Dollie Kelley, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and mentor to many, departed this life on May 30, 2007, at the age of 83 years. She was born February 11, 1924, in McAlester, OK, to Walter and Finnetta Tyler. Minnie married John Kelley on February 3, 1943 in McAlester, OK. She was always happy, smiling, and had a listening ear for anyone that needed help. She had many hobbies: an avid basketball player, homeroom mother, band parent, and a fantastic seamstress. She loved flowers and her garden and was active in Home Demonstration Club, OCWA, camping, and various other activities. Most of all, she loved working with children in Bible classes, Friday school, and at any other thing she was asked to do at the Del City Church of Christ where she was a member for over fifty years. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper and payroll clerk with General Tool and Supply in Oklahoma City.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Ramona Ann; parents, Walter and Finnetta Tyler; and brother, Freeman Tyler and wife Naomi.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Zayan Morgan and husband Shane of Hawaii; two great-grandchildren, Bikaiza and Jae'za; one brother, Walter Tyler and wife Hope; two sisters, Lillie Henry and husband Wallace, Annette Parker and husband Burton; several nieces and nephews; her beloved friend, Charlotte Narmore and family; and many long time friends that loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2007, at the Del City Church of Christ with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Meals on Wheels or Friday Friends at the Del City Church of Christ.
