Some souls are too special to be kept from Heaven.

Eva Sophronia Forrester Jaworsky became our angel Friday, October 5, 2001, one day before her 80th birthday, after a brilliant five week battle against pneumonia. Eva was born October 6, 1921 in Douglas, KS to Herman and Emma Jacobs Forrester. In March, 1943 at Dodge City, KS, Eva met a handsome sergeant over a B-26 Bomber. Steve and Eve married July 12, 1943, and after 58 years together, still greeted each other with a kiss and “I Love You.“ Steve was with Eva on Friday evening to give her one last kiss and hug and tell her “goodnight“. Eva worked for the federal government, school librarian at Southeast H.S., and before retiring in 1978, worked along side Dr. Cotter and Dot Murray. Eva was a very devoted worker at St. James and a magnificent cook, who never missed a Moore H.S. or OU football game, watched Nascar, and loved country music, Christmas, and anything sweet! Mostly, Eva loved her family and friends. It’s impossible to know how many lives she touched. Eva made friends wherever she went, and we are better for having known her.

Greeting Eva in heaven with a grand “80th“ birthday party are her beloved son, Stephen Ray, who preceded her in March, 1999, infant twins, Michael and William, infant grandson, Patrick, and her parents, Emma and “Short“.

Among the many left behind to cherish her memory and to continue her legacy of love are her loving husband Steve; devoted son, Jerry; adored daughters-inlaw, Janet and Judy; the lights of her life, grandchildren, Kari, Brian and his wife Emily, Kevin and his wife Latisha, all of Moore, Christy, Michael and his family of Germany; her only great granddaughter, Michael’s one-year-old daughter, Morgan, all Jaworskys through and through; brother J.O. Forrester of Norman, and many dear friends. A very special “Thank You“ to Dr. Randal Allen and the nurses on the 10th floor at St. Anthony Hospital who treated Eva with such care, respect, and gentle hands. We will celebrate Eva’s life at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at St. James Episcopal Church, 8400 South Pennsylvania, where Steve and Eve are the church’s oldest members.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery
JOHN IRELAND Funeral Home 120 S. Broadway Moore, OK 799-1200
