Cyril Carmine, age 78, of Oklahoma City, passed away Aug. 8,
2006 in Oregon. He was born Aug. 11, 1927 to Cyril and Wilhemina
(Benedix) Honea in Harrah. He grew up farming and attended
Harrah High School. He learned auto mechanics that carried over
into the Army and his work at Tinker Air Force Base. He served
in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953 and retired after 33 years
as civilian at Tinker AFB. He enjoyed wood working, fishing,
traveling and listening to music. He was a Methodist and a
member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Honca of Florence, Oreg.,
daughter, Sherri and Lenny Dowdy of John Day, Oreg.; and six
grandchildren: Jacob Honea of Midwest City, Jessi and Brandon
Walker of Choctaw, Saria and Matt Robinson of Oklahoma City,
Stephanie and Tye Parsons of John Day, Oreg.; three
great-granddaughters: Alyse, Shelby and Halle.
A graveside service will be held Monday, Aug. 14 at
Gardens under the direction of Bill Eisenhour N.E. Funeral
